The life story of Elandri and the impact that her life had on those around her and a whole community.
And that is where the journey started. This journey. Our journey of finding ourselves, helping our oldest two daughters accepting death and finding the meaning of quality of life.
Her legacy could be one of heart break, failed marriage and a broken home for her sisters or it could be helping her parents and sisters find purpose, and life lived limitless. In the end, this is her legacy. She bought us all home. She lived to guide us to this place. SIDE BY SIDE EARLY INTERVENTION CENTRE warmly welcomes children with disabilities and their families to a nurturing and supportive environment. Situated in the heart of Goreangab, within the vibrant township of Windhoek, our center is dedicated to providing comprehensive early intervention services tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.
At our center, we believe in fostering a sense of community and understanding, recognizing the importance of collaboration between caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals. Our commitment extends beyond the physical location, as we aim to create an inclusive space where children of all abilities can thrive and reach their full potential.
Our team of dedicated professionals is passionate about early intervention, utilizing evidence-based practices to address developmental challenges and enhance the overall well-being of the children in our care. We understand the crucial role that family plays in a child’s growth and development, and as such, we actively involve and collaborate with parents and guardians to create a holistic support system.
In addition to our core mission of early intervention, Side by Side also serves as an educational resource hub, offering workshops and informational sessions to empower families with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the journey of raising a child with a disability. Through these initiatives, we strive to build a network of support that extends beyond the walls of our center, creating lasting positive impacts in the lives of the children and their families.

Side by Side we are stronger
Parent workshop
Each month, our team of professionals conducts training sessions on Early Childhood Development for staff, parents, class assistants, and kindergarten teachers. The training covers pertinent topics designed to empower parents, caretakers, teachers, and the community.
El – Andri Butterfly Project
This initiative collects donations for children diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy who reside in challenging circumstances. Advocates of the Side by Side organization create these butterfly crochet pieces, which are distributed annually in Namibia from September 1st to October 5th.
Yearly Fundraisers
Annually, Side by Side collaborates with the El – Andri Early Intervention Trust to generate funds for the Side by Side Early Intervention Centre. The primary event typically takes place in October each year.

Weekly House visits:
We engage in smaller initiatives that center around individuals, enabling us to offer support to caretakers when a child's condition is critical and requires urgent attention. Typically, this serves as a short-term measure to assist a family in getting back on track.
